The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, June 6, 1960


Mrs. Amelia Peterson, 87, died in Edmore Saturday evening.  She resided north 
of Ionia 50 years and had previously lived in Illinois.  Mrs. Peterson was born 
in Denmark March 21, 1873.  Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 1944.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Wood and Mrs. Allen (Mildred) Haskin of 
St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Carmen Peterson of Ionia, and Stanley of 
Massachusetts; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home with 
the Rev. Ray R. Fassett officiating.  Interment will be at Highland Park 
cemetery.
