Peterson, 89, of Palo, died March 27 at Clark Memorial Home, Grand Rapids. Born April 14, 1900, in St. Johns, she was the daughter of William and Edith Hecht. She was a lifelong resident of the Palo area, a member of Palo Rebekkah Lodge No. 389, Palo United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women. She was married to Godfred Peterson in 1924; he died in 1957. Surviving are two daughters, Doris Ryan of Carson City and Alice Ryder of Lowell; a son, Robert Peterson of Harrison; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Hecht of Ionia and Elizabeth Sprague of Fenwick; two brothers, Erford Hecht of Crystal and William Hecht of Saranac. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. from the Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City, with the Rev. Ray Grienke officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Ionia. Rebekkah memorial service will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial, for Clark Memorial Home, has been established, in care of the funeral home.
