A 23-year old Belding resident Gary Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Peterson of 647 Harrison was pronounced dead at the Charlevoix hospital after
his car reportedly left the road and overturned in Antrim county Friday evening.
 He was employed as a draftsman at a Charlevoix factory to obtain funds to
return to studies that Ferris State college.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister Mrs. Fred Miller and his
grandfather, Fred Mast, both of Belding.

Funeral services will be December 16 at 2 p.m. from Huffman funeral home in
Belding, the Rev. Robert Lilley of Belding Baptist church officiating.  Burial
will be in Rest Haven Memory cemetery near Belding.

Funeral services for Gary J. Peterson, 23, 647 Harrison Avenue, Belding, will be
Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Huffman funeral home, Belding.  Rev. Robert Lilley of
Belding Baptist church will officiate and interment will be at Rest Haven Memory
Gardens.  He died Friday at a Charlevoix hospital as a result of injuries
sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born October 8, 1946 in Belding, the son of Clifford and Wilhelmina
Peterson.  A graduate of Belding high school in 1965, he was also a member of
the armed forces having served in Germany.  He attended Ferris State college at
Big Rapids two years and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.  He was
presently employed as a draftsman at Freeman Art Craft corporation in Charlevoix.

Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Fred Miller
of Belding; and grandfather, Fred Mast of Belding.

Bearers will be Joel Black, Glen Geiger, William Patton, Carter Huffman, William
T. Fout and Dennis Fountaine.
