Daily Sentinel-Standard (Pg. 5) - Thursday, May 13, 1943

Several months' illness ended in the death early Thursday of Mrs. Cora M. 
Peterson, 66, at her farm residence in Easton township. She had failed to 
recover following an operation at a St. Johns hospital about six months ago.

Born in Sanilac county June 1, 1877, Mrs. Peterson had resided in Easton 
township many years. Surviving with her husband, Charles Peterson, are a 
daughter, Mrs. Edith Dowsett, of Ionia; seven brothers, Earnest Fountain of 
Ionia, Bert and Emory of Lakeview, John, Richard and Darius of Remus and Frank 
of Pontiac; a sister, Lyda Stevens of Ionia; eight grandchildren, Lyle Richards 
and Mrs. Beecher Roberts of Muskegon; Charles and William Dowsett, jr., in the 
U.S. Navy; Corabell, John, Kathleen and Lawrence Dowsett, of Ionia and two 
great-grandchildren, Carol Ann and Ruth Annette Dowsett.

Prayer service will be conducted at the Myers funeral home Saturday at 1:30 and 
2 o'clock at the Free Methodist church, assisted by Rev. Carl Ruble. Interment 
will be in Easton cemetery.
