The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, February 24, 1972
Abigale Peterson, 70, of Saranac died early Thursday morning at Belding 
Christian nursing home.  Born near Maple Rapids, July 15, 1901, she was the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Phillips. She had resided in the Saranac area 
the past 30 years and her husband, Charles Peterson, died in 1960.

Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Irene DeJonge of Leland, Mrs. Edith 
Polczak of Grand Rapids, half brother, Charles Phillips; two half sisters, 
Mrs. William Albright of Saranac and Mrs. Edith Fosburg of Lake Odessa.  

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Morris-Roetman funeral home in 
Saranac.  Rev. James Frank will officiate and interment will be at Ashley 
cemetery.
