She had not been real well again after a serious attack of influenza about two years ago, but was not heard to complain and went about her work as usual. On Sunday she was taken with intestinal flu and had not the strength to rally from the serious attack. Tuesday she lapsed into unconsciousness and passed peacefully away Friday without regaining consciousness for even a short time. Her sister, Mrs. Nora Arnold of Pontiac, brothers and niece, Mrs. Bertha Wilbur, and friends were with her to the end and gave her every comfort and care but to no avail. She was for many years a very successful teacher in rural schools of the county and also in Saranac schools. In later years she and her brother, Manville Peterson, have lived on the old homestead.
