Sentinel-Ste. - Friday, May 18, 1945

Mrs. Sophia A. Peterson, 79, died May 17 in the Ionia Community hospital.

Surviving are six sons, Julius, Carl, Elmer and Godfrey of Palo, Wesley of 
Orleans and Pvt. Edwin Peterson of Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind., and one 
daughter Sophia, of Ionia; 16 grandchildren, and four sisters, all living in 
Sweden.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 21, at the Myers funeral home in 
Ionia. The Rev. A. R. Kuehn will officiate and interment will be in Highland 
Park cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson was born in Sweden, September 23, 1866. She had lived most of her 
life in Ionia where her husband died 13 years ago. She was a member of the 
Evangelical church.
