Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. Jan. 23, 1937


William Franklin Petteys, age 91 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. 
Claude Dickerson of Ronald, Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Mr. Petteys belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He farmed practically all his life, 
and was affiliated with the Baptist Church. His wife preceded him in death 
sixteen years ago. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Dickerson 
home, Rev. Chester Barr of the North Plains Community Church officiating. 
Burial will be at the Woodard lake cemetery. Bearers will be John Pettit, L.G. 
Perry, Ivan Brooks, Forest Trowbridge, Jay VanNornum and Herman Hazelitt.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maude Dickerson, three grandchildren and 
three great grandchildren.
