George Pettingill Buried Beside Wife

The funeral services for George Pettengill, aged 80 years, who died Sunday morning
following a brief illness, were held from Bradley’s funeral home Wednesday at 2
o’clock with Rev. W.F. Kendrick officiating.  Mrs. R.A. Colwell and Mrs. Thane
Benedict sang two hymns, “Light After Darkness” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.”

The bearers were Herbert Ross, Bert Kanouse, Frank Wirtz, and Frank Stevens and
interment was made in Highland Park cemetery beside Mrs. Pettengill.
