The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 18, 1967

A route two Fenwick man, John H. Pettit, 90, died Saturday afternoon at a 
nursing home near Sheridan.  Mr. Pettit resided in Bushnell township the last 
65 years, where he was engaged in farming.  In 1912 he was married to Lenna 
Adams who survives.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stebbins funeral home in 
Sheridan.  Burial at the Palo cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Wednesday, September 20, 1967

Funeral services for John H. Pettit who died Saturday were Tuesday in 
Sheridan.  Burial was in Palo cemetery.  Bearers were William Rutherford, 
Russell Black, Alden Smith, Ralph Safford, Dick Ravell and Edgar McKendry.
