Ionia Daily Sentinel - Thurs. Dec. 1, 1908


Harry Pettit, aged 40 years, died yesterday at his home in Lowell where he has 
been a resident since last spring. Mr. Pettit was a stepson of Andrew Green, 
and was born and raised in Ionia and a young man of integrity and industry. He 
grew to manhood here attending the Ionia schools. He was a cigar maker by trade 
and operated a shop in Lowell. He is survived by a wife and two children. The 
remains will be brought here on the morning train tomorrow and the funeral will 
be attended from the home of Mr. Green, over Fleming’s store at 2 o’clock p.m. 
interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
