Ionia County News, Thurs., Sept. 16, 1948
Mrs. Hetty Pew, 84, of Palo, died at 8:30 Monday morning, Sept. 13 in Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital. In failing health for the past several years, she had 
been a patient in the hospital for ten days before her death.

Hetty Patrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Williams Patrick, was born in Bloomer 
township, Montcalm county, June 27, 1864. In 1880 when she was 16 years old she 
was married to Henry Pew, of Palo.

After the death of her husband in 1930, she moved to the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. T.I. Martin in Ronald township.

She was a member of the Palo Methodist church and a charter member of Palo 
chapter O.E>S.


Surviving besides her daughter, are three grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. 

Rev. Park Newcombe of the Hubbardston-Palo Methodist churches officiated at the 
funeral service held Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Palo cemetery
