Gladys Pew, 101, of Saranac passed away Sunday, December 22, 2002, in Saranac. 
She was born April 4, 1901 in Ionia, the daughter of Norman S. and Eva B.
(Townsend) Wood.  She was a life member of the VFW in Portland.

She is survived by her special friends Lucille Ayers of Saranac and Harriet
Fisher of Belding.  She was preceded in death by her husbands John Leslie and
William Pew; brother Ray; sister Pearl and life long 
friend Fay Carrick.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac with Rev.
James Frank officiating.  Entombment Portland Cemetery.  Visitation is 9 a.m.
Thursday until time of service.
