Lyons Herald, 12 Oct 1911

After a long illness Mrs. Cora Pfeiffer passed away at the home of her parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Chubb, Wednesday, Oct. 11, about noon.  Deceased has for the 
past three years fought an unequal battle with dreaded consumption.  About four 
months ago she was taken to Montana seeking help, but was compelled to return 
to a hospital in Grand Rapids, where it was decided it was only a question of a 
short time, and she was brought to Lyons where everything was done that loving 
hearts and hands could contrive to make her last hours pleasant.

Deceased was born Feb. 11, 1873, and most of her early life was passed in and 
near Lyons.  She was married June 19, 1900, to Ed. Pfeiffer of this place, and 
to them was born one son, Royal Ned.  She leaves to mourn her departure, her 
son Ned, aged nine years, a mother and father and a host of friends.

Short services will be conducted at the house Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock and 
from the M.E. church at 2:30 fast time.  Interment in the Lyons cemetery.
