MARK PHILIPS
LAKE ODESSA - Mark Philips, 35, of Albion, died Friday in Ponciana, Fla., of
injuries sustained in a construction accident. A friend, Daniel R. Kauffman, was fatally
injured in the same accident.

Born Jan. 14, 1954, in Batesville, Ind., he was the son of Thomas and Rita Metz
Philips. He was graduated from Lakewood High School in 1972.

Surviving are two sons, Zachary, 6 and Quentin, 3; his parents, Michael and Rita
Smith of Albion; three sisters, Jan Pittman and Bonnie Green, both of Albion and Pamela
Sherman of Greenville; three nieces and one nephew.

A sister and a nephew preceded him in death.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be announced by Koop funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa.
