The Portland Observer, Tuesday, November 9, 1909


Joseph Philips, who was born in Danby township and lived on his farm there 
until about four years ago, died Monday morning at his home in Mulliken.  He 
had been sick for three weeks with malarial fever.  He was one of the best 
known farmers in the southern part of Danby township.
