Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Mar 1953

William B. Phillips, 51, of Bryan, Ohio, died suddenly in the Ionia County memorial
hospital Wednesday a short time after he was admitted with a heart condition. 
Phillips had been visiting his three sisters in Ionia, Mrs. Harry Vo_t, Miss
Isabelle Phillips and Sarah M. Phillips.

Phillips was born July 18, 1901 at Deer Creek, Ill, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W.
Phillips.  He operated a farm near Bryan.

Surviving beside his three sisters in Ionia are his sisters Mrs. Louella Welsby of
Flint, Mrs. Katherine T. McFadden of Bryan, Mrs. Alice Dietrich of Williams Center,
Ohio and a son, Loren of Bryon, Ohio.

The body was taken to the Stone-Kauffman funeral home in Ionia and transferred
Thursday afternoon to the Krill-Greenisen funeral home at Bryan.  Funeral services
will be held Saturday afternoon. Interment will be at Deer Creek, Ill.
