The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 6, 1944

Mrs. Nellie Phillips, 82, life-long resident of Otisco township, died Sunday 
afternoon in Belding Community hospital following an illness of several 
weeks.  She was born in Otisco and had been a member of the Baptist church for 
many years.

Surviving are the husband, George; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Trebian, and two 
grandsons, all of Belding.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Fales 
funeral home, with burial in Belding cemetery.
