April 17, 1921 DANBY RESIDENT DIES WEDNESDAY Charles Phillips, Life-Long Resident of Township Will be Buried Friday. Charles W. Phillips, aged 58 years, died Wednesday morning at the farm of his Danby following an illness with neuritis of the nerves. Mr. Phillips was a life- long resident of Danby and through frequent visits to Portland has a large circle of friends here as well as though as rural districts of the county. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Halley Dean of Danby. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, belonging to the Sebewa corners organization. The decedent was born February 17, 1863. For many years he was a regular visitor in Portland and did his trading here. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon from the Compton church. Burial will be made in the Danby cemetery.
