The funeral for Hiram Phillips, age 55, was attended from the Church of Christ 
this afternoon. Beside the mourning relatives and friends who accompanied the 
remains from his late home to the church, was an escort from the Masonic 
fraternity, and the bearers were from this order, as follows: O.W. Price, C.E. 
Bigelow, W.T. Remington, Alonzo Parmenter, Charles Peterson and J. Tuttle. 
Interment was in Highland Park.

The remains of Hiram Phillips arrived from Ann Arbor last evening, and were 
taken at once to the home of his son-in-law, Jay Post, S.H. of C. suburb. The 
funeral will be attended from the Church of Christ at 2 p.m. tomorrow, and will 
be in charge of the Masonic fraternity. Mr. Phillips was aged 55 years. He was 
a long time resident of Easton, and was highly regarded by his friends.
