Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 9 Jan 1920

Morris E. Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Phillips, died at the Traverse
City hospital on Friday morning.  He was taken there on Tuesday, Dec. 30, after
a serious illness, which baffled the home physicians, and it was hoped that
there he would receive attention from doctors, specially versed in nervous
troubles.  Evidently the trouble was past curing, as his death was reported on
Friday morning to his parents.  The notice of the funeral will be given later.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.]
