Her name was Mrs. Belle Phillips and she had a little girl named Hazel, now 10 years old. Mrs. Phillips died in Owosso a couple of weeks ago, it is alleged from overwork, although it is not unlikely there were contributory causes at least. She was buried in the Potter’s field and afterwards the little girl “disappeared” causing quite a sensation for a while, until she was found to be with a friend at Fenton.
