She and her husband were prominent in Odd Fellow and Rebekah circles while here and her many friends will be pained to learn of her passing, even though her death was expected for some time past. Banner News – Wednesday, 9 March 1921 WE WERE IN ERROR: When we stated that the Rebekah lodge of this city attended the funeral of Mrs. Bertha Pickard, at Ionia, in our last issue, we were misinformed according to a prominent member of the order who says that we should correct the error as only five Rebekahs attended the funeral. This lady says that the order has 175 members and that had more attended the funeral, the statement as it appeared would have been all right, but that as it was it was misleading and should be corrected.
