Ionia Sentinel Standard – 25 February 1963
Mrs. Louise Pickens, 81, of Grand Rapids died February 24 at Sunshine Hospital 
in Grand Rapids.  She was born July 3, 1881, in Brookings, S.D. and was 
married to the late Irving Pickens, a former Saranac resident who died two 
years ago.  Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Compton of Saranac 
and Mrs. Donna Pickens of Bangor.  Funeral services will be conducted 
Wednesday at 2:30 pm at Morris funeral home in Saranac with burial at Saranac 
cemetery.
