SARANAC LADY IS DEAD FOLLOWING LINGERING ILLNESS
Funeral of Mrs. S.E. Pickens, 77, Held Wednesday; Leaves Six Sons, One Daughter

The funeral for Mrs. S.E. Pickens, 77, well known resident of Saranac, who died 
last Sunday, following an illness of several months, was held on Wednesday 
afternoon with Rev. C.O. Hayward of Saranac in charge. W.E. Densmore was the 
officiating undertaker, and interment was made in Saranac cemetery.

She is survived by six sons, Claude and Louis of Grand Rapids, Lester and 
Harley of Hart; Irwin and Glenn of Saranac; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Compton 
of Boston township.
