Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. February 19, 1953

RETIRED FARMER DIED IN GREENVILLE
Thomas A. Pickens, 88, retired farmer, passed away at the Greenfield 
Convalescent home in Hastings, Wednesday morning. He had been a patient there 
about five weeks and prior to that had resided at the Will Meyers home in 
Sebewa, route 1, Portland.

Mr.Pickens had spent most of his life in this area, coming from Ohio when a 
small boy.

Surviving are two grandchildren Clare and Arlo Pickens and seven great-
grandchildren, of Lake Odessas.

Mr. Pickens reposes at the Pickens funeral chapel where services will be held 
Friday at 3:30 with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
