The Belding Banner, Thursday, September 12, 1901

Mrs. Wm. Pickering died last Friday morning at her home on Pearl st.  She had 
been sick for some time and her death was not very much of a surprise but the 
end came very suddenly when it did come.  She was 57 years of age, was born in 
England and lived there all her life up to about six years ago.  A husband and 
a son survive her.  The funeral services were held from the residence Sunday 
afternoon, Rev. J. J. Staley officiating and the burial took place in the 
Belding cemetery.
