The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, August, 2009

James D. Pierce, age 51, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 in Henry Ford Hospital in 
Detroit after a long illness.  He was the beloved son of the late James T. 
Pierce, formerly of Ionia.

He is survived by his sister Penelope Pierce of Ortonville and his aunts Mary 
Ann Pierce Chrostowski, Barbara Pierce Lower and Edna Reske.

The family will receive friends on Aug. 28, 2009 at the Stanley Turowski 
Funeral Home in Dearborn Heights.  There will be a service at 2 p.m.  
Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m.
