Ionia County News, 24 Oct 1957

Funeral service for Lesley P.  Pierce, 48, 553 Cyrus Street, was held Thursday
at 2:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, with Rev. Alfred Miller of the First
Baptist Church officiating.  Interment was in Balcom Cemetery.  Bearers were
Clyde Stoddard, Ivan Roberts, William Hoople, Jr., Ase Jewel, Harold Clark and
Joseph Hill.

Mr. Pierce died of a heart attack Monday, October 7, at about 2:30 p.m.  He was
born March 19, 1909 in Colgan, North Dakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar
Pierce.  Surviving are his wife, Frances; two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Szymanski,
of Chicago, Illinois, and Bonnie at home, two grand children; his mother, Mrs.
Joe Pierce and a sister, Margaret, of South Ionia.
