                   DANON LEE "SCOOTER" PIERCE

LYONS - Danon Lee "Scooter" Pierce, 16, of Lyons died Sept. 23.

The son of Darrell and Doris (Nobis) Pierce, he was born Nov. 11, 1972 in Ionia.

He was the president of the class at Ionia High School. He played on the varsity 
football team. He worked at McCords in Ionia and the Village Restaurant in Muir. 
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Ionia. He was active in the 
student council.

Surviving are h is parents; Darrell and Doris Pierce of Lyons; one brother, 
Lance Corporal David L. Pierce of Okinawa; one sister,Dianna L.Pierce of Lyons; 
two grandmothers, Alice Kardos of Ionia and Madaline Nobis of Lyons; two aunts 
and uncles; several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St.John's Lutheran 
Church in Ionia, The rev. Theodore Voll officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Paul Carmichael 
officiating.

Visiting hours will be today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. 
and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to be used as they wish.
