Heather was raised on he family farm and attended Saranac Public Schools.She married Donald (Danny) Pierce on September 2, 1952. Heather enjoyed gardening, camping, reading and watching sports.She loved being outdoors with her flowers and pets.For years Heather babysat for many Ionia families and cared for each child as her own. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Parish, the daughters of Isabella, Ionia Garden Club, was a Cub Scout Leader, and an Emerson School room-mother extraordinaire. She was also a preschool aid at SS.Peter & Paul School. She is survived by her son,Craig (Janelle Berry) Pierce of Grand Ledge, daughters Kathleen "Kip" (Ted) Geldhof of Lake Odessa, and Colleen (Bruce Roetman)Pierce of Ionia daughter-in-law, Blyth Pierce of Muskegon; Siblings, Neil (Jan) Renwick of Saranac, Gayle (Richard) Peacock of Lake Odessa and Julie Miller of Lowell; and grandchildren, Erin (Alex) Cochrane, Evan (Shawna) Pierce, Lindsay Pierce, Alison Pierce, Jaimi (Corey) Remillard, Alex (Audrey) Roetman, 11 great-grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. Heather was preceded in death by her parents, husband Danny, in-laws,Don and Julia Pierce, brother-in-law Garry Miller and son, David W.Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Friday,May 19, at SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church.Visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
