Blanche Mae Piercefield aged 78, of Lake Odessa passed away peacefully at home 
January 2, 2008. She was born April 8, 1929, in Lansing, MI the daughter of 
George Alfred and Vera ( Sterling) White.  She married Floyd Roy Piercefield 
September 16, 1950 who preceded her in death February 20, 2007.

Blanche was a dedicated mother, grandmother ,great grandmother and friend. She 
enjoyed many years of bowling at Lakeview Lanes. She always looked forward to 
Thursday Night Ladies League and all her special friends. Blanche was Ionia 
County Court Snow Queen in 1947. She loved life and had a young spirit at 
heart and was always fun to be around. Blanche loved Patsy Cline and Barry 
Manilow music. 

She is survived by sons; Ronald and Sherri ( Barnes) Piercefield of Lake 
Odessa, Richard and Shirley (Kent) Piercefield of Lake Odessa, Donald 
Piercefield and Ralph Simmons of Kalamazoo; daughter Kathie Fletcher 
Piercefield of Clarksville; brother Alfred (Joe) and Rosie White of Alto; 
sister Audrey Misner of Lake Odessa; 7 grandchildren and 12 great 
grandchildren but was anxious of #13 great grandchild and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Floyd of 57 years, parents, 3 
sisters; Margaret White, Esther Raeigh, and Mary Thompson; 2 grandsons, Chance 
Piercefield and Darren Mesecar.

At Blanche’s wishes there will be no memorial services . The family will 
receive friends and relatives 2:00-5:00 P.M. Saturday January 12, 2008 at 
Cunningham Acres 4980 Tupper Lake Rd. in Lake Odessa. Pastor George Speas will 
offer a prayer. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Ionia Area 
Hospice. Funeral arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
