JUDITH ANN  (HERALD) PIERCEFIELD
Judith Ann Herald, 65, of Portland, passed away on Dec. 31, 2015. She was born on
Nov. 11, 1950, in Ionia, MI, the daughter of James B. and Betty Jean (Rowley) Herald. 
Judy attended SS Peter and Paul Academy and graduated in 1970 from Ionia High School. 
She retired from the Ionia County ISD in 2010.

Judy and Gary Piecefield married on Dec. 31, 2004. She loved family, Bella her toy
Pomeranian, and her cats Dolly and Daisy. Judy also enjoyed gathering family together 
for holidays, hosting family reunions, tending flower gardens, traveling with her 
husband, and giving of her time to children with special needs.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Gary Piercefield of Portland; daughter Sonya
Gonnella of San Diego, California; sisters, Sandy (Eric) Peasley of Lansing, Mary 
(Mark) Hannah of Sunfield, Nancy (Dan) Thelen of Ionia, and Jan (Roy) Wellman of 
Sheridan; mother-in-law June Piercefield of Portland. Also, five nieces and five 
nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Norman Piercefield.

Cremation has taken place.There will be a time of sharing stories in celebration of
Judy's life on Thursday , Jan 7, 2016, from 3-4 p.m. followed by visitation from 4-5 
p.m. at Lake funeral Home in Ionia. Those wishing, may make memorial contributions 
to Emmanuel hospice http://www.emmanuelhospice.org. Online condolences may be made at
