June 20, 2020 Wayne Piercefield Sr., 86 Wayne Edward Piercefield Sr., "Homer" to us Born June 5, 1933?Died June 17, 2020. Our Family has lost our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who we loved and who loved us. First and foremost. Wayne Sr."Homer" was Beulah "Bea" (Gee) Piercefield's husband for 66 years. She preceded him in death. Now they are together. Joyful! Their three-children were well-loved by them. We are Dorothy (Wayne) Stingley, Wayne Jr.,(Anne) Piercefield and Andrew Piercefield. As a young couple Wayne and Bea lost two children, our brother Billy (1957) and sister Debbie (1960). Dad, Mom, Billy and Debbie are all together in heaven. Beautiful! Dad was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Joe, his band of brothers; Norman, Roy, Gordon, Jake and Jim Piercefield and his sweet sisters; June McCaul, Wanda Petter and Pearl Richardson. Precious! Dad's surviving sisters, our beloved aunts, share our grief: Janet King, Bonnie (William) Kinsman, Wilma Waters and Pat VanHouten. They have been dad's guardian angels. We are blessed! Our first cousins 70+ and we treasure our big, loving connected family. We are so sad that we cannot gather at this time to celebrate dad's life. Our time will come. Grateful! Countless individuals and families throughout the communities of St. Johns, Muir, Lyons, Ionia, Lake Odessa, Portland and beyond were touched by Wayne and Bea's ministry through AA, Al-Anon and their sincere love for people. Dad loved racing and all things NASCAR. He could fix anything and many in the community and our family can attest to that. He could diagnose my car, the water heater and the furnace over the phone! Dad loved cars!!! Dad loved his home! Dad loved his motorhome! He showered us with love! Amazing man! Homer was a wonderful Father, Grandpa and Great Grandpa and he loved the roles. We all remember Dad making Christmas Eve special (he was the biggest kid!), going to ballgames, plays and recitals, graduations and celebrating with the family. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Wayne III (Kelly) Piercefield, Amy (Rafael) Frias, Angela Clervoix, Travis (Shelby) Piercefield, Andrew Piercefield II and David Stingley; great-grandchildren, Carley and Colton Piercefield, Ariana, Amaya and Alfonso Frias, Maddyx, Adalynn, Daxtyn and Tayson Piercefield, Randy Bronner, Sariah, Sadie and Sophia Cervoix. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the First Christian Church of Muir, 138 W. Garden.
