Floyd (Roy) Leroy Piercefield age 76, of Lake Odessa passed away after a long 
illness at Metron of Belding, February 20, 2007. He was born July 15, 1930 in 
Sunfield the son of William and Thelma (Catlin) Piercefield.

He served in the Army from 1948 - 1950. Floyd married Blanche White September 
16, 1950. He was an over the road truck driver all his life and was a past 
member of the Woodland Eagles. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing and other 
out door activities.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Blanche (White) Piercefield; 
sons, Ronald and Sherri (Barnes) Piercefield of Lake Odessa, Richard and 
Shirley (Kent) Piercefield of Lake Odessa, Donald Piercefield and Ralph 
Simmons of Kalamazoo; daughter, Kathie Fletcher (Piercefield) of Clarksville; 
brothers, Gordon and Cleo Piercefield of Portland, Wayne and Beaulah 
Piercefield of Muir, Jerry and Caroline Piercefield of Lyons, Jim and Shelly 
Piercefield of Nebraska; sisters Wanda and Leo Pepper of Clarksville, June and 
Bob McCaul of Clarksville, Janet King of Arizona, Bonnie and Bill Kinsman of 
Lake Odessa, Pat and Dave VanHouten of Ionia, Wilma and Bob Waters of Ionia; 7 
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pearl Richardson; brother, 
Norman Piercefield; grandsons, Chance Piercefield and Darren Mesecar.

At his wishes there will be no services. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 3-5 PM at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  
In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Metron of Belding or Hospice 
of Ionia. A special loving thanks from the family to “Bobbi Schaefer.”
