Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Feb. 17, 1987


BELDING – Myrtle N. Pierson, 96, of Belding died Saturday in the Balding 
Christian Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 12, 1888, in Orleans Township, the daughter of Cary and 
Martha Ann Robinson Nichols. She was married to Frank Carter; he died in 1954.

She was married to Roland Pierson; he died in 1983.

Surviving are a stepson, R. Leon Pierson of Ionia; a granddaughter, Elaine 
Anderson Baxter of Greenville; and a niece, Verona Hann of Elliott City, Md.; 
two other grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Woodard Lake Cemetery, 
with the Rev. Harold Mann officiating.

Memorials have been established for the Greenville and Belding Public Libraries 
in care of Huffman Funeral Home, Belding.
