Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. March 10, 2009


Ronald A. Piggott, of Ionia, age 55, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1953 in Ionia the son of Leo and Carol (Dixon) Piggott. 
Ron loved cooking, fishing, hunting and building and remodeling things. He 
truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his mother, Carol Jean Rumisek; 5 siblings, Terry Piggott of 
Portland, Dale (Cindy) Piggott of Texas, Sharon (Kevin) Martin of Illinois, 
Monica (Brian) Almy of Eagle and Maureen Piggott of Ionia; and several nieces 
and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Bryan Piggott.

The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Melvin Fox at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Schrauben-Lehman funeral Home, 220 Rich 
Street, Ionia. Interment will take place in the spring at Mt. Olivet Catholic 
Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday
