It is believed Mr. Pike, who was a life-long Ionia county resident , died sometime Monday of a heart attack, after a recent illness. He lived alone in a room at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Rickert, who investigated when the man had not been seen for a day. Born in Ionia county, the son of John and Elizabeth Wedge Pike, Murray Pike lived on farms in South Boston, and on Old M-21 before moving to Saranac two years ago. Surviving are one son, Louis Pike, of Lowell, and Elmer Pike of Minnesota, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Buxton, of Washington state.
