The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, August 28, 1975
Services for Carl A. Pilkington, 75, who died Tuesday at his home in Portland, 
will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Neller funeral home at Portland.  Rev. Harold 
Homer of the Portland United Methodist church will officiate and interment 
will be at the Portland cemetery.  

He was a World War I veteran.  He and his wife, the former Marion Bradley, had 
been married 56 years and she survives. 

A memorial has been established for the Michigan Heart fund.  Bearers will be 
C. J. Hill, Richard Pline, Guy Earl, Glen Schwartz, Basil Kinney, and Carl 
Pilkington.
