Pilkinton, 32 years of age, died at 10:00 o'clock this morning at the home of her mother, Mrs. Adah Pilkinton, in this village, where he had been confined to his bed the greater part of the time since last September, gradually wasting away with tuberculosis. Mr. Pilkinton was born in Portland in June 1885, and had lived in Michigan the greater part of his life, although he had visited the west a couple of times. At the time he was taken sick last spring he was in the employ of the Michigan State Telephone CO., at Ionia, as "troubleman." He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Alphea Carpenter, of Ionia, his mother, Mrs. Adah Pilkinton, of Portland, and a sister, Mrs.Ernest Moore, of Eaton Rapids. Funeral arrangements had not been made at the time of the Observer's forms were sent to the press.
