She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McWhinney, being born in Oakland county in 1857, and had lived in Saranac the greater part of her life. She was taken with a stroke last February and had been steadily getting worse. Surviving are six children, Mrs. Barbara Fairchilds, of Alto, Fred, of Lowell, Earl and Dewey, of Saranac, Henry J., of Lansing, and Truley of the western states, 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two stepchildren, Mrs. Libbie Carr, of Lowell, and Mrs. Viola Condon of Grand Rapids. Mrs. Pinkney was the oldest living W.R.C. member in Saranac. She had been living at the home of her son Dewey for the past year. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Pinckney, with burial at the Pinckney cemetery in Keene.
