E. Pinkham and mother of William Pinkham, former Belding postmaster, died in the Blodgett hospital at Grand Rapids shortly before 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident at the intersection of M-21 and M-114 two miles east of the Grand Rapids city limits at 1:20 o’clock today. She was 67 years of age. Dr. Pinkham, 72, was reported to be in the Blodgett hospital suffering severe head lacerations. It was not report how serious his condition was. According to William Pinkham who received word of the accident in Ionia en route to Lansing Dr. and Mrs. Pinkham were turning to Belding after Mrs. Pinkham had received a medical check-up at Blodgett hospital earlier in the day. Dr. Pinkham is a member of the Blodgett hospital board. Surviving Mrs. Pinkham are four children, William and Joseph of Belding, Frank of California and a daughter, Mrs. Esther Hall, living in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
