Pinkston, 57, of Ionia died Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the home of his brother, Harry, of Ionia Route 1 where he had been cared for during the past month. He was scheduled to be admitted to a hospital for treatment Tuesday but he died suddenly at his brother’s home before he could be moved. He was born in Crystal May 15, 1894. Pinkston was employed for 16 years by the Page Coal Co., resigning from there three years ago to farm. He leaves his five, Vevia; mother, Mrs. Anna Pinkston; four brothers, Sidney of Grand Ledge and Vic, Harry and Arthur of Ionia; and two sisters, Mrs. John Badder and Mrs. Nora White of Ionia. The body was removed to the Myers funeral home where funeral arrangements will be made later. Subsequent Publication: Wednesday, July 11, 1951 Services for George W. Pinkston who died Tuesday about 11 a.m. will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home. Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate. Interment will be in Tuttle cemetery.
