Born November 25, 1902, in Loomis, she was a daughter of Joel and Carrie Salyer. Her husband George, preceded her in death in 1953. Surviving are one son Duaine Pinkston of route 1, Portland; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Schmidtman, route 2, DeWitt; Mrs. Nola Evans of Crystal; Mrs. Ruth Wedderburn, Ionia and Mrs. Benevieve Hanline of McBride. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be held May 9 at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home, the Rev. Luther Brokaw of the LeValley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Tuttle cemetery.
