PINKSTON
June Marie Pinkston passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020. June was born 
October 6, 1926 in Ionia Township the daughter of Coral and Winnifred (Smith) 
Johnson. She attended Ionia schools and graduated in 1943.

June married Duaine Pinkston in January of 1947, they had three children, 
Craig (Kathy) Pinkston of Portland, Karen and (Brian) Bedaine of Eagel, and 
Brian (Sue) Pinkston of Portland. 7 grandchildren; Jeff Pinkston, Chris and 
(Amber) Pinkston, Brent and (Jena) Bedaine, Jason and (Angie Bedaine, Bridget 
and (Kirk) Cheney, Sara and (Mike) Possehn, Stuart and (Chrissy) Pinkston. 
Plus 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces 
and nephews.

June was a longtime member of the LeValley United Methodist Church and was 
employed at the Ionia Co. National Bank for several years. She enjoyed 
attending Duaine's Army reunions with him and their winters in Florida.

June was preceded in death by her husband Duaine in 2015, her parents, step-
father, Ford Halsted, step-sister and husband Pauline and Leonard Johnson, 
great-grandson Wyatt Pinkston, and several brother and sister-in-law's.

private funeral services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with 
Pastor Nancy Patera officiating. Interment Tuttle cemetery. Visitation will 
be held from 1-3, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.

Memorial contribution may be made to Sparrow Hospice or LeValley United 
Methodist Church in care of Lake Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be
