Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Dec 1970

Rev. Theodore Forbes of First Christian church officiated at funeral services 
Monday for Asa Piper who died Friday.  Interment was at Highland Park cemetery.  
Bearers were William, Garold and Edward Bensinger, Richard and Robert Smith and 
William Rankin.  The American flag was presented the family by Carl Seabrook.
