Nov. 6, 2019 LYNDA LOUISE PIPER, 78 Lynda Louise Piper, 78, of Ionia, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018. Lynda lived and loved in Ionia for nearly her entire life. She took great pride in her hometown, it's history, both personal and historical, and of course, it's inhabitants. With fondness, she referenced "Ioniaville," as she called it, and her many connections within the community. For instance, she worked for the County Court House in downtown Ionia for 28 years. She also volunteered for many events, and she enjoyed the annual, Ionia Free Fair. Lynda adored her family. She treasured the holidays and gatherings that brought everyone together in her home, and would never allow an opportunity for a photo (or 10) to slip by. She cherished animals and preferred warm weather. She was fond of talking with friends, talking with strangers, dancing, Broadway music, traveling, card games, and sweets. She knew someone wherever she went, and if she didn't , she would get to know them. She was a great listener and had a contagious personality; she loved being goofy and making people smile. She was sentimental, caring, and kind. Lynda was up for anything, and could be found riding roller coasters with her grandchildren, or tap dancing anywhere, anytime. She had a zest for life, and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her friend and former husband, Bud Stalter, daughter, Cheryl Stevens; sons, Steve (Leigh) Stalter, Greg (Vannessa) Stalter; grandchildren, Katheryn Stevens and Kevin Vlach, Daniel Stevens and Kaleigh Buchanan, Jason (Courtney) Stalter and Samantha Stalter; great-grandchildren Genevieve Vlach, Norah Stevens, Hailey Stalter, and Hannah Stalter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Edith Seidel; and former husband, Jerry Piper.
