Piselli, 80, died peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, after a life rich in love and blessings. Frank was born to Ralph and Mary Piselli on May 20, 1923 and graduated from SS. Peter & Paul High School with the Class of 1941. He married Anna Novello, on October 25, 1952, and she survives. He is also survived by his brother, Louis (Jean) Piselli; sister, Edith (Dolly) Bailey, both of Ionia; several nieces, nephews and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and one daughter, Mary Lynn. Frank was a lifetime member of SS. Peter & Paul Church and the Knights of Columbus and also a member of the VFW and DAV. He was part-owner and operator of the Ardini/Piselli Tavern in downtown Ionia for several years and was employed by the State of Michigan as a corrections officer for 19 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and received the Purple Heart for action in Guam. Frank and his wife Ann were fabulous cooks and helped organize and carry out social events, dinners and lunches for many years at SS. Peter & Paul. His strong faith, love of God and church was an example to aspire to. His generosity and care for others will be missed by all. Visitation is Sunday, April 11, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home, 3521 S. State Road, Ionia, with the Rosary recited at 8 p.m. Funeral services are Monday, April 12 at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Church, Ionia, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ionia. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Ionia Area Hospice and the Ionia County Memorial Hospital in his memory.
