Pitch, 64, of Nashville, formerly of Portland, passed away on June 11, 2007. He was born on May 25, 1943 the son of Ernest and Louise (Huhn) Pitch. Doug retired in 1994 from Fisher Body after 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and especially riding his favorite horse, P.J. but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Oliver. Surviving are his wife, Janice; daughters, Vickie, Cindy (Gary) Pung, Lisa (Nick) Pung, and Laura Pitch; grandchildren Brad (Jenny), Jade, Alyssa, Alexa and Devin Pung, Zack, Brett and Jolee Pung and Grayden Paulin; brothers Kurt (Kathy) Pitch of Portland and Howard (Margie) Pitch of Muir; three stepchildren, nine step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; several nieces and a special nephew, Danny. Funeral services were held June 15 at the First Baptist church of Portland. Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blodgett Regional Burn Center in memory of Doug.
