Ionia Sentinel - 7 September 1976
Crystal Belle Pitchford, 64, route 1, Ionia died suddenly at her home Saturday 
following a fatal heart attack.  Born May 14, 1912 in Osceola county, the 
daughter of Howard and Leola Church, she attended Grand ledge schools and 
married Walter Pitchford in 1945.  She was a member of Sebewa Church of God and 
the ladies auxiliary and was a retired nursing home operator.

She is survived by her husband Walter, one son, Thomas of Ionia, two step-sons, 
Dexter and Robert Pitchford of Lansing and one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Weller of 
Lyons.  She is also survived by four brothers, Richard of Owosso, Glenn of 
Ionia, Kenneth of Delton and Harry of St. Ignace; 16 grandchildren and three 
great-grandchildren.

Services were 2 pm Tuesday with Rev. David Schable of Sebewa Church of God 
officiating.  Burial in north Plains cemetery.  Pallbearers were Peter Weller, 
James, Carl and Steven Pitchford, Doy and Daniel Dowsett.  Arrangements by Hull 
Memorial Chapel in Ionia.
